| About | CAPACITI Tech Talent Accelerator is the skills development division of the UVU Africa Group. CAPACITI’s vision is to enable inclusive growth of the digital economy by ensuring a supply pipeline of future-fit, skilled early talent with relevant digital skills matched to industry demand. We do this through innovative development methodologies and experiential learning programmes that focus on both technical and professional development. With over 10 core technical towers and a robust holistic development model, we merge industry-standard competency building with the critical personhood-level development that ensures early talent are effective and successful contributors to the digital economy. CAPACITI brings together expertise, technology and resources from industry, academia, government and impact funders in order to develop young South African talent with in-demand skills, giving them a foundation for successful and fulfilling careers. Our programmes are accelerated; with six months of development and capacity building happening in one of our four work-simulation Accelerators, and a further 6 to 12 months internship immersion in business. Our candidates develop the critical skills needed to be productive members of the tech, and tech-enabled, workforce. Through impactful and real-world projects, industry certification and various hackathons, candidates gain meaningful exposure to the tech industry before moving into their internship. With a team of Talent Development Coaches, Technical Mentors and a dedicated Candidate Human Resources team, we ensure that we are equipping both our early talent and ecosystem partners with the support, insight and guidance required for exceptional success and impact. |
